Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro Elected 2022 Sound Cities Association (SCA) Vice President
(Enumclaw, WA, January 22, 2022) – Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro has been elected Vice President of the Sound Cities Association (SCA),
“Mayor Jan Molinaro has proven himself to be a dedicated and effective leader for the people of Enumclaw, and his perspective will be an asset in his new position as Vice President of the SCA Board of Directors,” said King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn. “I wish him great success and look forward to working with him in his new role in the coming year.”
Renton City Councilmember Ed Prince serves as immediate Past President of SCA, and applauded Molinaro’s election as Vice President, stating: “I have enjoyed serving on the board with Jan because he brings such a valuable and unique voice to our conversations. I am excited for his continued leadership as Vice President of SCA.”
2022 SCA President Mayor Angela Birney of Redmond agreed stating: “Mayor Molinaro brings the much needed perspective of our smaller cities to the Vice President role to as we will work together continue the mission of representing all of the Sound Cities.”
Mayor Molinaro is excited to take on this important role in the region, stating: “I very much appreciate having this opportunity to serve with an exceptionally talented group of board members in 2022.”
Mayor Molinaro began serving his second term as Mayor of Enumclaw in January 2022, having first been elected as mayor in 2017. Prior to serving as Mayor, Jan served on the Enumclaw City Council. Jan also served on the City’s Civil Service Commission, and has nearly 40 years of experience in Operations Management. Jan and his family have lived in Enumclaw for 26 years, and his children graduated from the Enumclaw School District.
In addition to serving as Vice President of SCA, Mayor Molinaro will represent SCA and Enumclaw on the Executive Board of the Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) in 2022.
