Letter from SCA President Traci Buxton

It is an incredible honor and privilege to assume the role of Sound Cities Association President, and I move into this season with purpose and excitement for the year ahead!

I recognize the critical role SCA plays in fostering collaboration, sharing our One Voice, and advocating for our municipalities, and I fully embrace this vision.

During my term, I will be focusing on:

• Strengthening Collaboration: Fostering stronger partnerships between our King County cities is essential in addressing our shared challenges such as; public safety, transportation, housing, environmental sustainability, and more.
• Enhancing Member Services: Providing our members with knowledgeable policy support, timely educational opportunities, and compelling networking events that connect industry with critical policy, are all integral to empowering our One Voice that serves the people of King County.

Kicking this year off to an engaging start, please keep an eye out for our stakeholder survey coming soon.  We want to hear from you!

In addition, please feel free to reach out to me for a call or personal visit.  I will make time to hear about you, your work, your city, and your interests in making our communities better places to thrive.
